Another month, another Tales from the Echobox up on the Patta blog. This month we spoke to tastemakers Rein & Piet from Grand Gala Culinair, the DJ with his finger on the pulse of everything in Latin American electronic music, Nicoba from con:texto, and Echobox guru of operatic and classical sounds, Alyssa from Beeswax. This Friday March 3rd. 19h-22h
@caramayer focuses on radio as a work of art and narrative tool. Mixing ambient, experimental electronics, and various iterations of wave and folk with film clips, field recordings, and poetry along a chosen theme.
@vollensade RJM is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ and Co-founder of The Hague based label Hunger! In her solo and group practice she makes alternative soundtracks, abstract soundscapes, slamming club selections, and caustic electronics.
@lilatirandoavioleta Uruguayan music producer Lila Tirando a Violeta is known all over the world for her inscrutable and flexible sonic palette. From vaporwave to latin club, from hard techno to electro pop. Lila will join us for a live set to close today’s broadcast

Between QR donations, food, drinks and the market, we helped raise €12.936 together last Sunday. 100% of the funds will be split equally and donated to AHBAP & The White Helmets.

Oyster festival is a UK-oriented music festival showcasing the latest talent from our brothers and sisters across the pond. Melkweg asked none other than Echobox resident @joycaupain to host a special broadcast during the festival, filled with interviews, live performances and more. Echobox will be teaming up with Joy for this special broadcast, obviously! We will be broadcasting live from @oyster.fest on our second channel from 18h-23h. Keep an eye on our socials as the full lineup for the broadcast and possible other updates will be announced later this week. Stay tuned…

Thank you all for sending in your pitch. Really appreciate all the time and effort you have put in. We are very proud and overwhelmed by the amount of pitches, wow! Now we are gonna get to work, updates on the pitches will follow in January. You will be hearing from us. 💌

We’re still recovering from it. Happy & proud!
We want to thank everyone; our makers – without them there would simply be no Echobox.
The listeners, all the people that have supported and helped Echobox in every possible way.
This prize emphasizes the importance of Echobox, and we are looking forward to keep on growing as a community within our beloved Amsterdam and the rest of the world. ❣️Let’s put things forward!
